I am a no-nonsense Life Coach who rejects the culture of ‘positive vibes only’ in favour of confronting and embracing reality. I am a staunch ally for the LGBTQIA+ community, and an outspoken advocate for inclusivity, critical thought and social justice. I work with clients to develop the most relevant strategies for success based on their real-life contexts in areas including:
I meet with clients online as well as in-person at my private office in Teneriffe, QLD Australia. That means that I can tailor each session to ensure optimal comfort and privacy for my clients, unlike sessions held in cafes or other publicly accessible areas.
I hold three citizenships (USA, Peru, Australia) and have worked professionally as an educator, trainer, curriculum developer, and e-learning designer for businesses and universities in New York City, Europe, Asia and Australia, where I now work full-time in my private coaching practice, Leslie V. Coaching.
Through my extensive experience working in cross-cultural capacities around the world, I have developed a keen awareness of how to connect with clients at optimal levels of communication. I hold formal qualifications in Life Coaching as well as a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics, which bolsters my understanding of the impact of language on the mind, on individuals, and on cultural communities.
As a coach, I focus heavily on empowering clients whose goals extend beyond themselves; to their wider communities and to global society. Through a life-long practice of examining and challenging societal constructs around success, relationships, monogamy, and authority, I bring into my coaching an open mind and a deep awareness of how to adjust to the needs of multi-cultural groups as well as individuals.
