The studio was started by the late Terry Wrigley, passed to his son Stuart Wrigley and is now run by Stuarts daughters Nicola and Natalie.

Terrys has been a Glasgow institution since 1965 and we have been at our current location since 1985!

We pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming studio environment. Tattoo shops can be a pretty intimidating place so we do everything we can to make everyone feel welcome and relaxed.

We have a variety of artists to cover all styles and requests. From cover up pieces to custom full sleeves we can help.

How we’re supporting our transgender and non-binary customers

  • Transgender and non-binary people are always welcome at Terrys, and all of our staff have been trained to respect your pronouns and identity, regardless of where you’re at in your transition. We have a section on our consent/medical forms which asks for your preferred pronouns and we are always happy to discuss the process of getting a tattoo before hand if there is anything you are worried or curious about!
  • Our tattooing area is closed off and not viewable from the main street however if your tattoo is in an area that requires you to undress or wear something you are not comfortable wearing in the main studio area we will be more than happy to tattoo you in our private back room where it will be only you and your artist.
  • Our artists are competent and experienced in the covering of scars of all different nature and are happy to provide consultation via email, face book or face to face to discuss scar cover ups.
  • Our artists are equally also competent and experienced in covering up a variety of tattoos, we usually require a face-to-face consultation where we will offer our best advice based off the tattoo you wish to cover.
