First Unitarian Church Des Moines is a Welcoming Congregation where LGBTQ+ folx can explore their own beliefs in an atmosphere of support.

We have multiple transgender members, including children, and an enby minister.

UUism is a faith which believes in “deeds not creeds” and we welcome people and families of all types.

We welcome tattoos,  piercings, and personal style choices of all kinds. Among our members you will find: atheists, agnostics,  humanists, pagans, Wiccans, Buddhists, Christians, Jews, modern Satanists, and more. We are poly friendly.
