Product Description

Foxy Laser is a laser and skin studio providing services in Denver Colorado to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh with razor free solutions. Foxy Laser aims to give laser and skin care services with integrity, consistency and honesty. It’s Important to us that you feel comfortable showing up as yourself. Working with Anna is more than a skin care treatment. She cares deeply about helping clients become the best outer versions of themselves while supporting any shame or trauma they may have brought to her table. While she works on your surface she also cares and will welcome you with what you bring to the table.

The proper Laser equipment does matter when searching for your Laser Hair Removal (LHR) Treatments.  We encourage you to ask questions and shop around.  At Foxy Laser we use CynoSure® Elite+™ and can treat ALL SKIN TONES. The CynoSure® Elite+™ sends waves of safe and effective laser energy deep into your hair follicles. As those follicles heat up and their natural growth cycle is impacted, within a couple weeks those targeted hairs shed away. The next time hair grows back it’s finer, thinner, and lighter. With each treatment, less and less hair continues to grow back until eventually, hair stops growing back at all. Laser hair removal can drastically reduce hair growth in almost all areas. Our laser treatment is close to painless, and leaps and bounds more comfortable than having the hair ripped out with waxing strips.

Our goal with laser hair removal is to treat you so you can stop coming in for hair removal, not to keep you as a lifetime customer. (We would love to have you returning for other services, but not laser).

The best way to know if laser hair removal is right for you is to come into Foxy Laser for a FREE consultation. In some cases, it’s possible to have new hair growth. This is most common during periods of hormonal fluctuations. If you ever have new hair grow in the treated area again, you can always come back to Foxy Laser for touch-up treatments as needed.  Common areas for laser hair removal treatment are the face, underarms, bikini area, legs, and back. However, I’ll laser anywhere you have unwanted hair. Whether you’re tired of keeping up with regular hair maintenance or just ready to stop worrying about the razor burn, painful plucking, and inconvenient wax that it comes with, using laser technology to reduce hair in each of these areas can provide comfort and confidence.

Who can receive LHR? Men and Women regardless of gender, ethnicity, age or sexual preference. Anyone from fair to tanned/olive skin tones to darker brown skin with brown or black hair follicles. The laser targets the pigment or melanin in your hair follicles.
No matter your background or reason for making an appointment, Foxy Laser is a safe place for all.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

The total number of sessions necessary will vary by individual, but an average of at least 8-12 treatments is required for optimal results depending on the situation.  There are a small percentage of clients that do not respond to the laser hair removal process.

For best results, consecutive laser sessions are required to slow hair growth with occasional maintenance treatments being a possibility. With all laser systems, research has confirmed that through the course of treatments, hair is reduced in number, and becomes finer in texture and lighter in color.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?

-Scarring, though rare, can occur following any laser procedure.
-Histamine/Hives: some clients develop raised papules similar to hives. This irritation usually subsides in a few hours.
-Blistering during treatment may be an indication of sun exposure.
-Blistering can occur during the first three days following the laser
treatment. Blistered areas should be kept moist with an ointment until
healed.

STEPS PRIOR TO YOUR LASER HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT:
-The area to be treated must be clean-shaven. Unshaven clients will be rescheduled.
-Avoid UV exposure 4 weeks prior to your treatment.
-Clients who are sunburned or tanned should call for consultation.
-Avoid sunless tanning products 7 days prior to your treatment.
-It is recommended that you exfoliate the area to remove any residual color.
-All products must be completely removed from skin prior to treatment. Clients should come to appointments with clean skin in the area to be treated.
-Avoid chemical peels and other laser procedures in the area to be treated for 2 weeks prior and two weeks after your laser treatment. Avoid all alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy products (AHA/BHA), hydroquinone, retinols/retinoids, Tazorac, and Differin for 7 days before treatment.
-Clients with any abnormal lesions, moles or spots on the area to be treated must be cleared by a medical practitioner prior to treatment.
-Clients must stop waxing, tweezing and using epilation 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.
-If you are prone to cold sores, you can take an antiviral medication (such as Valtrex) prior to your treatment. Clients with active cold sores will not be treated.
-Clients who have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months CANNOT have laser hair removal treatments.
-Clients should not perform any physical activity that increases body temperature or blood pressure within 24 hours before and after treatments.
-If you have Botox or dermal fillers in the area to be treated, wait 14 days both before and after injection to receive treatments.
-Antibiotics may increase photosensitivity. We recommend that you check with your personal physician prior to receiving laser treatments if you are taking a long-term antibiotic. If you become ill and begin taking an antibiotic, you will need to be off the medication for 7 days before laser treatment.
