Product Description
In 1974, a tiny little kitchen started selling omelettes to locals and tourists in historic downtown Truckee California. At just 10 feet, 3 inches wide, and with only 39 seats, guests would literally have to ‘squeeze in’ to enjoy their breakfast at the little restaurant. As the list of omelette options grew, so did the popularity of the restaurant, and we now have 11 locations in Northern Nevada, California, and Texas! Each one is a little different, but all of them are far from normal.
First, our mascot is an alien. Yes, an alien. It’s a long story, but our omelettes are outta this world and we needed our alien friends to confirm that. We also encourage guests to sign and draw on our walls. We have a hippy vibe with peace signs, writing on the wall and very friendly staff! Our mission is to always welcome everyone into our restaurant. Without a doubt, we want transgender and non-binary people to always to feel that.
A lot of people come into the Squeeze In and say they feel at home. Rich people, poor people, young people, old people-no matter what walk of life you’re in right now, Squeeze In can feel like you’re “home.” We want every person that walks into our doors to feel welcomed, loved and seen for who they are.
To us, being in full support of the LGBTQ+ community means celebrating the beautiful diversity in us all. We don’t just seek to “tolerate” people we seek to include them and make them feel safe in our environment. Being Transfriendly to us, means so much, but most particularly, when someone is in the critical transition from where they are to wherever they choose to be on the gender spectrum, they know they have a safe space with us. They can test their waters or flaunt their true selves at Squeeze In, and we will continue to serve them with our company values at heart. Live to serve, Provide an experience, Show the Love, Grow. Being Transfriendly is being human friendly and that’s what we are all about. All humans welcome.
