The Dandy Crown is a cocktail-focused neighborhood bar and restaurant whose primary objective is to offer a warm and welcoming gathering space where customers and staff feel safe and at home. The cocktail program is approachable yet creative. The staff is diverse, forward-thinking, and thoughtful. The customers are equally diverse, forward-thinking, gracious locals living just west of the Chicago River near downtown, yet just away from the hustle and bustle. The mix of clientele is nearly equal between women and men, as is the staff. We strive to encourage individuality, equality, unity, and to have no gender or race bias or divide. Being women-led with a racially diverse family, The Dandy Crown is socially conscious, aware of equity, and gives back to its community.
The vibe is laid-back-luxe and filled with images of reigning kings, queens, and other crown-wearers. Nestled in a stand-alone, two-story vintage brick building, the interior is a combination of bar space and lounging areas. The first floor features a fireplace lounge surrounded by mid-century modern, comfortable chairs and couches, while the second floor offers overflow and private party space with another full bar. Adjacent to the property is a spacious and comfortably chic patio. There are two single bathrooms, both of which are gender-neutral.
