The Sangha House is Taunton’s premier health and wellbeing centre, set in a beautiful Grade II listed former convent building.  With an emphasis on health being a blend of physical, mental, social and spiritual (not religious; just the awareness of something greater than the individual, be that a faith-based belief system, the kindness of others or nature.)  Our motto is “Strength in our differences, comfort where we overlap” and we welcome everyone interested in taking a break from a sometimes unkind world, where we can accept and love all that we are, individually and as a community.  We offer a full range of group yoga, Pilates, tai chi, meditation, Somatics and exercise classes, together with a suite of four beautifully appointed treatment rooms offering all forms of holistic massage, specialist facial skincare to help with any issues you may be experiencing as a result of hormonal medication, manicure, pedicure and specialist footcare.  For those customers looking for more emotional and consultative therapies, we offer counselling, solution-focussed hypnotherapy, acupuncture, trauma counselling and mentoring.  We can offer face to face appointments, or if you feel more comfortable at home, via Zoom as well. How we’re supporting our transgender and non-binary customers

We’re always here to help our transgender and non-binary customers, regardless of where you are in your transition. There’s a wide range of practical support on offer at The Sangha House, including:

Completely private and self-contained therapy rooms (no need to negotiate changing rooms)

Bodycare, facial skincare and hand and footcare products suitable for all, in non-gendered packaging

Online and email pre-appointment consultations if you’d prefer not to discuss anything with your therapist face to face

 

 

Getting the basics right

To reassure you:

Transgender and non-binary people are always welcome at The Sangha House, and all of our staff have been trained to respect your pronouns and identity, regardless of where you’re at in your transition.
It is our policy that all customers can use the bathrooms, regardless of their gender presentation. Our bathrooms have self-contained cubicles with independently locking doors.
